Since the prliminary task I have learnt a lot about how to use the cameras and how to edit.

Shot log 2
This is the shot log for the shots that I re-filmed. It gave me a good idea of what I needed to keep in and what I didn't need to keep in.

Test camera shots
Changes made filming the second draft
We filmed on a street instead of in a woods because it means that it would look more realistic for the audience and that Matt would look more hidden and less obviously there. We also made the location where he was talking to Becca in a completely different place because it looked more like he was taking her somewhere else and not just pointlessly across the field. We also decided to use a two shot rather than shot revese shot for the first bit of dialog because it meant we had different camera shots to make things less boring for the audience.
During the editing as well I included a fade between a couple of the scenes to show that she didn't just appear there and that timie had passed between the time she was in each location.

Initial audience feedback
When people first saw my first draft this is the initial reaction:
- The music fit very well with the genre and helped to build tension especially at the beginning
- The camera shots were used well along with the action taking place
- The titles fit in well with the genre and were placed well through the opening sequence
- The shot in the middle in the woods seemed unrealistic because it seems obvious that he is behind her
- The dialog is fuzzy and the background noise stops and starts.
- The reaction in the conversation seemed slow and it would be better if the reply was straight after
From these comments I have decided to film some of it again to make it more realistic to the people watching and also to edit it so that the conversation flows better.

First draft of opening sequence
This is the first draft for my opening sequence. It has been edited and I will use my audience feedback to make changes to the editing and film some things again if I need to.

Editing proof
This is
the proof of editing. The first picture shows unlinking the sound from the rest
of the video. The second picture shows how we put in the fade out effect into
the music. And the third picture shows us using the razor tool to cut and split
the video clips.

Title development - main titles
This is how the mian titles were developed.
I put in each letter one by one to give the effect of it being typed.

Song Choice
We found a
song we thought would fit by a band called Chameleon Circuit. The song is called Nightmare. We thought this was fitting
because the beginning of the song helps to create some tension at the start of
the opening sequence. Also, as soon as the speaking part of our film opening
happens, the instrumental part begins and this would allow us to keep it playing in
the background without getting in the way of the dialogue. We contacted two
of the band member - Alex Day and Charlie McDonnell over their websites/Youtube and Twitter. We
recieved a reply from Alex, who said:
Sure, help yourself! All my songs are available for whatever people want,
so yeah, go ahead
:D
Someone
else on Twitter also replied to us and said Alex mentioned in one of his videos that
his songs are free to be used.
Sure, help yourself!

Camera Diagrams Proof
This is the proof for the camera diagrams that I drew to show that we were able to carry out the camera shots.
This was for the shot reverse shot and using our diagrams we were able to make this work properly by setting up the camera in the correct places.

Changes made
We made a few changes in the production that weren't on the script and shoting script. We decided to use a phone rather than a laptop because we thought that it wouldn't be a good idea to have a laptop out in public as it could lead to it getting stolen and possibly one of the memeber of the group getting injured. We also didn't show the second text as it seemed like it would cut up the action and stop the tension. We didn't film in a playground as we thought it would be a bad idea when there are small children around and they could distract from the action.
