Location Recce

These are the location recce sheets that tell us how suitable our location choices are.

Location Priory Gardens

Here I intend on film my first scene where Becca is sitting on her own with her laptop and you can see that she has files on her computer containing government documents and here is where she gets her first text.

Lighting level: The lighting level here is good in the daytime unless you are under the trees. So as long as we ensure that we don’t film under the trees the lighting here should be good. One problem we could have is if it starts getting late as it will be too dark to film there and we won’t be able to see the footage. Noise level: it is generally quite here and the only noises that can be heard is from the cars in the background and if there is any other people around. If there are other people around we can just move to a different spot in this location. Potential hazards: One potential hazard here is that the camera equipment could be a potential trip hazard so we will have to be careful where we put the camera tripod and to ensure it isn’t in the way of where people have to walk. Overall suitability:  Overall this location is very suitable because the noise level and lighting level here are good and there are very little problems we could encounter. There is also little potential hazards making it a safe place to film this scene

Location Maundsey Close

The scene I intend on filming here is the second scene where Becca receives more texts from the mysterious stranger and starts to get a bit annoyed with them.

Lighting level: The lighting level here is good as it is outside The only problem we may encounter is that the road has a lot of shadows across it. This will add to the mystery of the place but it might make it a little bit difficult to see the footage so we will have to be careful with that. Noise level: The noise level here is good. It is a very quite area and the only possible noise is from cars and that will only add to the realism of it. One possible problem could be if there is some kind of works going on. E.g. someone could be having building work done on their house but this can be easily overcome by just moving to another road that is quieter. Potential hazards: One potential hazard is that this is a road and we will have to be careful where we place the camera equipment so it doesn’t get knocked over by a car. This shouldn’t happen as we will be careful where we put the camera equipment. Overall suitability:  This location should be very suitable because it is a quite road and as long as we film in the daytime we should be able to see the action taking place. It is close to both our other locations so it will be a=easy to get there and it won’t disrupt our filming too much.

Location Mentmoore Park

The scene I intend on filming here is the third scene where Becca is in the woods and she first has a face to face encounter with the mysterious stranger (Matt). Anther scene we can film here is the final scene where the Matt and Becca talk for the first time. We can also film this here because there is a lot of space.

Lighting level: This is good because it is outside. One problem we could encounter is that if the weather isn’t very good the lighting may be poor but we can just film another day if that happens. Or if it isn’t too dark we can still film as it will fit better into the story line. Noise level: This place is very quite and there will only be background noise from cars and possibly children in the playground nearby. This will only make the film more realistic as it just shows that these are only normal people who are trying to do a job that perhaps the secret service would do otherwise. Potential hazards: One possible hazard that could occur is that there is a road and a car park very near to where we are going to film so we need to be careful that nothing happens to the camera or any other filming equipment. Overall suitability: Overall this location is very suitable because it has a playground, woods and an open space meaning that we can film 2 scenes here making it easier for us as we don’t have to travel that far and the places also are obviously linked. Another reason why this location is suitable is because it is generally very quite there and it will be easy to film as there isn’t people there very often.
